Back in the day I was a YouTube creator. I wasn't big enough to have an assistant, so when it came to interacting with sponsors it was me, myself and I. The same questions kept coming up, and I'd have to push down that minor annoyance each of us cannot help but feel at needing to answer the same questions, clearly and carefully, again and again.

Later in life I ended up at Google, and I kept this experience in my mind. I could see we were getting closer, but as someone who could picture what a personal agent would need to get done day in and day out, I knew we were not yet there.
